What does ‘healthy’ mean to you?
With gyms being closed and grocery store shelves emptier than usual, health may have taken on a different meaning to many people. According to Merriam-Webster, health is the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit and it appears to be at the forefront of many people’s to-do list during this time of a global pandemic. Having more time at home has forced people to reevaluate their current diets, and many have decided to take advantage of the free virtual nutrition coaching services being offered. In my coaching sessions, I often ask my client what their largest motivator is in making changes in their diets. What I’m hearing the most is that since working from home, their focus has shifted to health and how improving their diets will help them feel better mentally, lose weight, and prevent disease.
So, what does healthy mean to you? It could mean that you want to eat more fruits and vegetables in order to teach your children healthy food habits that will follow them throughout their lives. Or, you may have grown up watching family members make unhealthy food choices, so now you’d like the opportunity to learn what a healthy eating plan looks like so you can minimize your risk of developing an illness or disease. Sugary desserts and savory foods may be a weakness for you and since working from home, your snack habits have spun out of control so now you feel the need to make some changes. No matter where you are on your health and fitness journey, there’s no time like now to make some positive changes in your life. If you’re ready to start planning a healthier diet, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a free virtual nutrition coaching session!
