WOMEN’S WEIGHTLIFTING

Dive into a three-month transformative experience focused on three fundamental lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. This semi-private personal training will be coached by certified and degreed professionals to help you master proper form, increase lifting capacity, and allow you to join a supportive community of like-minded women.

PROGRAM DATES: Sept. 9 – dec. 16

When: Sessions will take place twice a week for 60 minutes. Time will be dependent on the participants’ availability/preferences.
Where: Participants will meet their coaches on the turf area at the Wel at Humana flagship site (522 W. Main St.).
Who: This small group is open to all fitness levels. You must identify as a woman to join.
Pricing: $240 per month (Nine 60-minute sessions per month)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Initial movement screen

We will conduct several movement screens during the first two weeks of the training group to observe your natural movement pattern and any corrections that need to be made.

Our focus on the squat, bench press, and deadlift will help you build a strong foundation. We will provide detailed tutorials, form checks, and progression plans to ensure you develop proper technique and increase your strength.

Proper nutrition is a key component of your success. We’ll share tips, meal plan ideas, and advice to help you fuel for optimal performance and recovery.

You are not alone in this journey. Connect with fellow group members, share your experiences, and motivate each other to achieve your goals.

We want to give you the information needed to succeed in and out of this program. Each month, you will receive a handout giving you a more extensive look into the lift we are focusing on that month. This will contain mobility tips, anatomy/muscles involved, and injury prevention.

MIKAH GOINS

Mikah is a Fitness Coach at Wel at Humana, training clients one-on-one, performing health assessments, and instructing group exercise classes. She received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance from the University of Louisville and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish.
