With grit and gratitude, we are making every effort to provide the best possible, in-person, fitness experience.  While we are excited to re-open our fitness center doors, the safety of our members and staff remains our top priority.  Our facilities will continue to follow local health and safety guidelines and implement enhanced cleaning protocols in our phased reopening approach.  While we don’t have a specific timeframe for how long each phase will last, we will communicate the restart of certain programs and services as soon as possible and update this page accordingly.

MEMBERSHIP AND BILLING UPDATES

Upon reopening and until further notice, all Humana fitness centers will only be open to associates and contractors with approved site access. Family memberships and/or the addition of designated guests and community members are currently unavailable at this time.

All memberships are now set up as a recurring monthly fee via electronic funds transfer (“EFT”) from your bank account, credit card, or debit card.  Paying for membership via payroll deduction is no longer available.

Local Mask Guidelines and Vaccination Status

All Humana fitness centers are part of Humana and access to these spaces follow Humana’s COVID policy and health and safety guidelines. Please visit go/vaccine for continuously updated latest information including answers to questions here.

We encourage the 3 W’s: Wear a Mask, Watch Your Distance and Wash Your Hands.

Members who are not fully vaccinated must adhere to Humana’s COVID-19 testing policy and wear a mask while at work, this includes the fitness center spaces.

Modified Facility Hours

During our phased approach, we may implement modified operating hours. Although we will do our best to update everyone if we experience a change in hours, be sure to check back regularly to find any updates in operating hours.

Temperature Screening Process

All members will need to be screened prior to entering the fitness center. For the majority of fitness center sites, members will be screened at the kiosk upon entry into the building itself.

Wel at Humana members: Screening kiosks are available in the lobby of the Wel at Humana fitness center.

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection

All sites will have an increased frequency of janitorial and team member cleaning throughout the facility. EPA approved and CDC recommended products will be in use to clean and disinfect all equipment and facilities. High touch point areas will be cleaned every hour throughout the day and deep cleaning will occur at a minimum of 3x per day.

We ask all members to disinfect equipment before and after use. Additionally, we will have designated disinfection zones for smaller, more common use equipment such as bands, jump ropes, recovery tools and other attachments.

Additional COVID 19 Facility Measures

Our facilities have installed new, high-efficiency MERV air filters to enhance filtration systems, improve overall air quality and trap a higher percentage of airborne particulates.

Additionally, all water heater temperatures have been increased per CDC guidance.

Additional Signage

Additional signage has been added throughout our facilities to direct you and provide reminders for social distancing and mask guidance.

Restock Your Gym Bag

Where applicable, all small equipment, recovery tools, towels, mats, common use equipment will be available for your use. However, please feel free to bring any of these items or additional items with you that you may not be comfortable using at the facility.

The following areas will be closed during Phase 1 of re-opening:

  • Massage Therapy rooms

Personal Training

Personal Training sessions are allowed. Members and coaches will be asked to maintain social distancing during the session and all coaching and cueing will be done verbally. Virtual Personal Training and Personalized Exercise Plans will continue to be available.

Group Fitness

Group Fitness classes will not be conducted during Phase 1 of re-opening.  Once Group Fitness classes resume, more communication around the overall experience at your site will be shared.

Hand Sanitizers and Disinfectant Wipes 

We have increased supplies and access to hand sanitizer and equipment disinfection wipes throughout our facility. We ask that all members use hand sanitizer as needed and disinfect equipment before and after use. All hand sanitizer and disinfectant products adhere to CDC guidance.

Cardio Etiquette

All cardio equipment will be in use. We ask members to disinfect equipment before and after use.

Strength Floor Etiquette

All strength floor equipment will be in use.  We ask that members do not share equipment or “work in” on equipment and continue to socially distance in the space – including the pin- and plate-loaded equipment, free weight area and any functional strength areas. We also ask members to disinfect equipment before and after use.

Group Fitness Etiquette

Group Fitness classes will NOT be conducted during Phase 1 of re-opening.  Once Group Fitness classes resume, more communication around the overall experience at your site will be shared.
